Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and the improvement of the skin's texture, tone and color. The Eclipse MicroPen Elite is used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. The skin's repair process results in a thicker epidermis with a softer appearance of wrinkles.

This procedure can be done on all parts of the body including the face, neck, decollete, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back. The downtime for this procedure are minimal, with redness lasting anywhere from 2-3 days. Numbing cream is used to minimize any discomfort during the treatment.

Some patients require a single treatment once a year to achieve optimal results. However. it is often recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart. For patients with more significant skin-care concerns, such as acne scars or traumatic scarring, 5-8 sessions are recommended at 6 week intervals.
